Basic beans (slow cooker)

Ingredients

  • 500g dry beans rinsed
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Water (cover over beans by 2 inches)

Method

Add beans and water and cook in slow cooker for 6-8 hours.

Note

If cooking kidney beans, boil for 10 minutes before putting in slow cooker to neutralise toxins.
