Chocolate cake

Ingredients

Cake

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup medjool dates
  • 1/3 cup coco powder
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 1/2 cup spelt flour (or whole-wheat)
  • 2 tbsp oat milk
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

Frosting

  • 2 tbsp tahini
  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Method

Pre heat oven to 180 degrees and line a cake tin.

Blend together water, dates, chia seeds, milk, vanilla and vinegar. Transfer mixture to a large brown and fold in all other ingredients.

Transfer to baking Tun and cook for 30 minutes.

Ensure the cake is cooled before you frost it. In a small bow mix together the frosting ingredients and spread onto of the cooled cake.
