Ingredients

  • 1 onion
  • 3 tbsp flax seed + 3 tbsp hot water
  • 1 packet sunflower mince
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup vegetable broth
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 tin beans
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper

Method

Sauté onion and garlic and soak flax seeds and sunflower mince (if required) in water.

Blend oats to make oat flour and then drain and mash beans.

Stir in all other ingredients together to form burgers.

Cook with oil in a large pan and and serve as regular burgers with lettuce, tomato, beetroot and sauce or as insanity burgers (recipe here).

Note

Make in bulk and store in the freezer for 2 months.
