- 3 cups red lentils
- 6 cups water
- 1 can tin tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 5 cloves garlic
- 1 thumb sized piece of ginger
- 1 tbsp turmeric
- 2 tsp cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp cardamom
- 1 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp fennel seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper
Method
Place all ingredients in a slow cooker for 7-9 hours on low.
